Chameli portrays an unusual story when an Investment Banker and a Prostitute are stuck with each other due to heavy rains. It is one of the most popular monsoon songs of all times.

  • Chhamm Chhamm Chhamm

If you have listened to this song, you will definitely know that this one has an infectious energy and fervour. You cannot control yourself from moving and doing some steps to this song, such are its beats. In Baaghi’s movie, this song shows how purely a girl is enjoying rain and dancing to it. The beats, music, lyrics, and scenes will make us want to get up and dance in rain. Actually, if you haven’t done that too, do that once. Another track by AR Rahman that will make you fall in love with not just the song, but with the picturesque location too. The song from the movie Guru, directed by Mani Ratnam is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and the words are penned down by Gulzar. The whole song revolves around the theme of rain and is a perfect match for the monsoon months. The movie was later dubbed and released in Tamil and Telugu as well.

Released in 1997, Dil Toh Pagal Hai was a musical hit and of the many songs in the movie, ‘Koi Ladki Hai Jab Wo Hasti Hai’ was the most loved one. The song has Madhuri Dixit and Shah Rukh Khan dancing in rain along with a few dozen kids. The song is sung by the late singer Lata Mangeshkar and Udit Narayan is a must on your list.
