In a somber operation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) successfully retrieved the body of Corporal Noa Marciano from the Gaza Strip. Marciano, serving in the Combat Intelligence Collection Corps 414th unit, was captured during an attack on the Nahal Oz IDF base by Hamas terrorists on October 7.
Troops from the 7th Armored Brigade’s 603rd Battalion located Marciano’s body in a building near Shifa Hospital, acting on intelligence provided by the Shin Bet security agency. The IDF confirmed her body’s return to Israel for identification.
This development occurred amid ongoing efforts to uncover terror infrastructure within the hospital complex. Marciano, 19, hailed from Modiin and was the eldest of three siblings.
Hamas released a disturbing propaganda video on Monday evening, featuring Marciano speaking four days after her capture, followed by footage of her lifeless body. The IDF’s recovery of her remains brings a poignant end to the ordeal faced by Marciano and her family.
