Hyderabad: Billionaire Elon Musk-led artificial intelligence (AI) company ‘xAI’ has launched its AI chatbot. The company was introduced as “Grok” and said it works better than AI-type chatbots like ChatGPT already available. It is known that ChatGPT, released by OpenAI last year, has attracted the attention of the world. Remarkably, the chatbot was introduced less than eight months after the founding of xAI.
xAI said Grok was developed to provide AI tools capable of research and innovation. With the help of the ‘X’ platform (formerly known as Twitter), Grok will also provide the latest information. This explains the uniqueness of their chatbot compared to others. Musk said Grok can also answer certain types of questions that other AI systems refuse to answer.
Musk’s xAI will release its first AI product to a select group today
According to information provided by xAI, it performs better than ChatGPT3.5 in academic tests such as math and coding. However, it is reported that Grok could not beat GPT-4, the latest version of the chatbot brought by OpenAI. Musk said “X Premium Plus” users have access to Grok. Currently, it has been revealed that it has only been made available to a limited number of users in America.
He stated that it is still in the preparatory phase. It will be further improved and released more widely in the coming days. The monthly fee for the X Premium Plus subscription is currently $16. On the other hand, xAI said that they take reasonable precautions to prevent the AI bot from being misused.
