‘Feeling Blessed…’: PM Modi to Attend ‘Historic’ Ram Temple Inauguration Ceremony on Jan 22

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Ram Temple in Ajodhya on January 22 next year.

Members of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust met PM Modi in the state capital and invited him to the inauguration (Pran Patishtha Event) of the temple.

The Prime Minister personally accepted the invitation to inaugurate the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, PM Modi said it was his good fortune to witness this historic event. The Prime Minister also shared a photo of his meeting with members of the trust.

The trust said that PM Modi will perform Prana Pratishtha of Shri Vigraha of Bhagwan Shri Ramlalla Sarkar at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir on January 22, 2024.

Temple Construction Committee Chairman Ram Nripendra Mishra had earlier said that the construction of the ground floor of the three-story Ayodhya temple would be completed by December this year.

On 5 August 2020, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust General Secretary Champat Rai has confirmed that the idol of Lord Ram in the Garbhagriha of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be installed on January 22, 2024.

In a 2019 verdict, the Supreme Court cleared the way for the construction of a Ram temple by the trust at a disputed site in Ayodhya and ordered the Center to allot an alternative five-acre plot to the Sunni Waqf Authority for the construction of a new mosque. at a ‘prominent’ place in the holy city of Uttar Pradesh.

The court ruled that the 2.77 acres of disputed land where the demolished 16th-century-era Babri masjid once stood would remain with the central government and be handed over to a trustee within three months of the decision to build the temple.

The temple trust has decided to start the process of dedicating Ram Lalla after Makar Sankranti on January 14 and observe the 10-day ritual of Ram Lalla ‘pran pratishtha’ (consecration).
