Israeli Woman Heroically Saves Village from Hamas Attack

A 25-year-old Israeli lady named Inbar Lieberman became a hero after inspiring a group of locals to protect their community from a Hamas attack close to the village of Sderot, which is perilously close to the Gaza Strip. The area is infamous for its regular clashes between Israeli citizens and Palestinian insurgents.

On the morning of October 7, 2023, Lieberman, who had been serving as the security coordinator of Kibbutz Nir Am since December 2022, detected unusual explosions near her village. Realizing that these were different from the typical rocket attacks, she quickly sprung into action, distributing firearms from the village armory to fellow residents.

According to reports from the New York Post, Inbar Lieberman and her 12-member security team set up ambush points and successfully repelled the advancing Hamas fighters. In the fierce gun battle that ensued, Lieberman personally neutralized five militants. Their resistance lasted for approximately three intense hours, ultimately allowing Israeli security forces to arrive at the scene.

Israel’s X account lauded Inbar Lieberman as the savior of the entire kibbutz, acknowledging her extraordinary courage and leadership, affirming that her actions safeguarded the village from the looming threat of the Hamas attack.
