King Charles advised to maintain dignity amid Meghan and Harry’s ‘low-blows’

Following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s controversial statements about the Royal Family, commentators are calling on the Firm, especially King Charles, to maintain their dignity and not engage in retaliatory attacks.

Despite the couple’s claims, including accusations of racism in the family, the royals have been advised not to stoop to Harry and Meghan’s level.

Following their retirement from royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan publicly aired their grievances in a televised interview with Oprah Winfrey. Meghan addressed the rumors, saying it was Kate Middleton who made her cry before the wedding. Prince Harry has revealed that his father, Prince Charles, cut him off financially and stopped taking his calls after they moved to the US. The most serious accusation was that the unnamed king was concerned about the color of their son’s skin.

In response to the claims, the palace issued a statement expressing concern, particularly regarding the issue of race. Commentator Dr. But Ed Owens stressed the importance of the Royal Family not reacting to what he called “low-blow” attacks. He said: “All they can do is carry on in a dignified way. Responding to Harry and Meghan will only add to the sensationalism around the stories. They need to keep their distance and a dignified silence, however difficult that may be.” .”

Historian Katie Nicholl revealed that Prince Charles initially considered addressing the allegations point by point, but opted for a shorter statement to avoid further damage. Dr Owens stressed that the royal family must not endorse Harry and Meghan’s claims by behaving in a way that confirms them. Instead, they should maintain their composure and dignity in the face of scrutiny.

With the public watching closely, the royal family’s response will no doubt shape public opinion. By maintaining a dignified silence, they can not only protect their reputation but also maintain the integrity of the monarchy amid ongoing challenges.
