The Congress, which scored a second successive duck in the recently-held Delhi Assembly Election, is now reportedly mulling sending several young faces in the Rajya Sabha as part of a major reshuffle. Priyanka Gandhi made her political debut last January, just three months before the Lok Sabha elections.The move is said to be under consideration to help the party counter the BJP in the Rajya Sabha, where the Congress is the second-largest party with 46 seats after the BJP, which has 82 seats. The party reportedly feels that while it has Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha to counter the BJP, it needs a face to do the same in the Rajya Sabha and, as such, Priyanka’s name is doing the rounds.Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the party’s general secretary for Uttar Pradesh seat, is reportedly among those whose names are being considered for the Upper House. According to reports, she is likely to be sent to the Rajya Sabha from Chhattisgarh.
