  • Edakkal Caves

Inside it there are 2 chambers, one is 18 ft long, 12 ft wide and 10 ft high and the upper chamber is 96 ft long, 22 ft wide and 18ft high. You can see animal figures and objects that were used by humans on the walls of the caves. You can visit the caves anytime from 8 am to 4 pm.

  • Kuruva Island

A perfect blend of different natural colours makes this island one of the top attractions of Wayanad. It is a protected river delta with many islands over the middle of the Kabini River, the famous east-flowing river in Kerala.

The island is huge and spread across an area of 950 acres with a dense population along with some rare and rich species of flora and fauna. It protects the evergreen forest; you will see bridges made of bamboo trees and many plants that you might have never heard of.

  • Chembra Peak

If you are looking for a short weekend getaway from Bangalore. It is one of the most commonly visited attractions of Wayanad for the localites.

8 km from Kalpetta and close to the town of Meppady lays the most elevated top in Wayanad. Chembra crest borders Nilgiri slopes in Tamil Nadu and Vallarimala in Kozhikode. Chembra Peak is a perfect place for trekking, you can climb up to 2,100 meters above the ocean level in the southern piece of Wayanad. It is also the tallest peak in Wayanad and a perfect zone for trekking.

  • Banasura Sagar Dam

One of the top attractions of Wayanad is Banasura Sagar Dam that holds the famous Karamanathodu tributary of the east-flowing river in Kerala that is Kabini River. The dam is surrounded by a beautiful landscape and you can do many things here like trekking, adventure activities, boating etc.

Hundreds of tourists come to the dam to take good photos and enjoy the lush green landscape. It is a part of the Indian Banasura Sagar Project consisting of a dam and a canal project.

  • Neelima View Point

If you are looking for some fun-filled place in Wayanad then Neelima View Point is one of the best attractions of Wayanad. It is popular for trekking and the beautiful views you get to see when you trek. The view of the valley from the trek trails is breathtaking, you can also see the gorgeous Meenmutty Falls. From the point, trekkers can see the smooth white streams going through the walk and moving towards the waterway.

  • Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary

This sanctuary must come in the top attractions of Wayanad list for you. Located in the lap of Wayanad and the Western Ghats, this region is popular for the variety of wildlife that one can experience.

You will see several animals here like Elephants, Tigers, Leopards, Bears, deer, monkeys, and reptiles, fishes and bird species.
