Manali is one of the top tourist destinations in India. This hill station is popular internationally, like people especially visit Manali from abroad.

There are a lot of things to do in Manali; it is not just the mountains that add to the beauty but also some pumping sports and joy rides that you will never forget. A lot of landslides and floods keep happening in Manali so make sure to check the weather before you visit it.

  1. Solang Valley

Solang Valley is about 30 minutes ride from Manali and people come here in both the summer and winter seasons for adventure sports and experiencing scenic beauty.   1. Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass is 2 to 3 hours away from Manali; it can be a bit traffic – crowded as it is very popular. Rohtang Pass connects Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti valleys of Himachal Pradesh.

It is 4,000 meters above the ground and a perfect location to experience snow-capped mountains at their best. The scenic beauty of the mountains and playing with the snow is a blissful experience one must have when they visit Manali. On the way, you can stop by Beas Kund which is an igloo-shaped temple on top of Rohtang Pass that has a spring which is the origin of the Beas River.

  1. Beas River

It is one of the popular rivers of Manali for water sports. River rafting and other water sports are a must thing to do when you visit it. The flow of the river is rapid and it can be dangerous at times, you must make sure that you have taken all precautions before getting into the raft.

To experience mild and safe water flow of the Beas River, it is suggested that you visit in March or April. The water levels are not that high during this time.

  1. Hadimba Temple

You can visit this temple while visiting Old Manali. The temple is a four-tiered pagoda that was built in 1553 and is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, the wife of Bhima from the Hindu epic Mahabharata.

If you are visiting Manali in May, then you can’t miss the three-day temple festival that occurs in mid-May every year.

If you love forests, then you must visit this national park. Talk a walk at the thick forest which borders the Beas River and Old Manali. It is like a shield from the outside world and gives you a mystical and calm feeling when you visit it. It is the best place for hiking in Manali.
