Offering a grant of Rs 74 lakh for joint cultural projects between the UK and India, the British Council has revealed a ground-breaking proposal. Nicknamed the International Collaboration Grants, the initiative has a sizeable 1-million-pound (Rs 10.53 crore) budget devoted to fostering creative partnerships in the arts and culture industry.
The call for applications, which is live today and ends on April 30, invites creative thinkers to submit concepts for international collaboration initiatives. People can apply for grants ranging from 25,000 pounds (about Rs. 26.31 lakh) to 75,000 pounds (about Rs. 74.12 lakh).
To qualify, projects must facilitate partnerships between UK and India-based organizations, with a focus on authentic cross-border collaboration. The British Council emphasizes the importance of projects demonstrating tangible benefits for both UK and international participants.
Applications must show a real commitment to cross-border cooperation and clearly outline the advantages for participating UK artists, organizations, and their foreign partners. Projects can have any topic, according to the official release, and contenders are requested to talk about how they intend to integrate environmental sustainability, diversity, and inclusivity into the project’s execution.
