These people have a suspicious nature, a state of constant mistrust, and always a feeling of insecurity. They are very alert all the time and are quick to take bad things about anything. Even if you make a mistake, do not admit your mistake. Stubbornness, inability to compromise, not being able to emotionally connect with other people, always considers his foresight and logical thinking to be correct.

Daily worries can put stress on the patient. Suggest ways to remove such tensions and stay free from them. Such severe stress on the patient can aggravate his illness. Again he may fall prey to the disease. In such a situation, family members can help relieve stress by helping him. If you know someone who is suffering from this disease then help him. Causes of Paranoid Personality disorder

The exact reason why this disease occurs is not yet known. But according to experts, people with the problem of ‘schizophrenia’ (it is a mental illness in which the sufferer forgets to understand real and imaginary objects) are more likely to have this disorder. A stressful life can also be a major reason for this. Suspicion is also seen in elderly people with dementia and Parkinson’s disease. Suspicion arises due to the lack of a neurochemical called dopamine in the brain of these patients. Apart from this, some bad experiences that happened in childhood can also be the reason for having paranoid disorder.

The causes of this psychological problem are divided into two parts – in the first category, biological causes such as disturbances in the structure of the brain, internal injury to the head, and heredity are kept. Apart from this, such a problem can also occur due to some circumstance-related reasons. For example, bitter childhood experiences, stressful family environments, and career failures can also cause suspicion in some people to become psychotic.

Symptoms of Paranoid Personality Disorder

Generally, it is natural for everyone to have slight doubts in their mind, but there is a very fine difference between Paranoid Personality Disorder and general doubt, which is very important to understand. When a person starts looking for unfounded doubts in everything and this suspicion turns into a firm belief, then it can be a symptom of Paranoid Personality Disorder. If the merge becomes more, then in such a state the imagination of people becomes so alive that whatever the patient thinks, the same scene appears in front of his eyes as if that event is actually happening. Although this is their illusion, they start believing it to be completely true. If treatment is not started at the right time, these symptoms can later become the cause of serious psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia.

These symptoms are seen in patients with Paranoid Personality Disorder.

  • Unnecessary doubts about small things and turning suspicion into firm belief can be a symptom of Paranoid Personality Disorder.
  • When the situation becomes serious, what the patients of Paranoid Personality Disorder think, the scene starts appearing in front of their eyes.
  • Patients with Paranoid Personality Disorder start living in delusions.

What can we do for the patient

The co-operation of the patient’s family and friends is essential in the treatment of PPD i.e. Paranoid Personality Disorder because the person suffering from it is not ready to believe that he has a problem. If someone in your family has such a problem, take special care of these things:

  • Explain to the patient that like the body, sometimes the mind of a person also becomes ill. Therefore, if necessary, it should also be treated.
  • Keep in mind that the victim should take medicines regularly.
  • Make the victim feel that he will get well soon with your positive words.
  • Do not express your displeasure to him even if some of his habits bother you.

Be patient during the treatment of such psychological problems as sometimes it takes months for the patient to recover. Even though it may cause you some discomfort, do not leave the treatment incomplete in between. If the treatment is started at the right time following the instructions of the doctor, then the person becomes completely healthy.

Do not make the patient feel ill by comparing the patient to other friends, colleagues, or family members. Don’t belittle others by mentioning success in school, work, or social life. Encourage yoga-sadhana, treatment, whatever the doctor prescribes, medicine, etc. Don’t comment. They can also be persuaded by saying that others took medicines, took the treatment of doctors, and took care of the rules and regulations, then they became completely fine.

Psychotherapy is a successful treatment for this. In this, doctors emphasize building trust and self-esteem in the patient. Medicines are not used for their treatment, but anti-depressants and anti-psychotic drugs are given if needed. This disease can also be overcome to some extent by art therapy, facial therapy, etc.
